DeFord line. Casually researching our mysterious French Canadian ancestor. Current tack is to research a Dufort family that emigrated from Quebec to Minnesota at about the right time. Maybe Peter went first as a teenager and was rejoined later by his family? Maybe just a blind alley--we'll see.

Durward King

Giles line. Researching Durward King's parents in Michigan--probably Benjamin King and Eunice Blanchard. Traced both parents several generations farther. Benjamin's grandfather came from Lincolnshire, England.

Elizabeth Lott & Mary Sasnett

Brinkerhoff line. Currently researching Elizabeth Lott, Grandpa Brinkerhoff's great grandmother. Found good data on her mom, Mary Sasnett. Sasnett seems to have been misspelled in our earlier records as Saseneth (the name is listed as Sassnet, Sasnett and Saseneth in various other listings). William Womack Riley's first wife was Charity Sasnett. His second wife was Charity's niece, Elizabeth Lott. Found several generations of Sasnetts with links to several more.
